It's opening weekend for the KOA Campground in Granger.
Although temps were in the 80s this time last year, the high 50s we experienced today were a warm welcome for families looking to get out of the house.
The owner of the campgrounds says things are looking up for the camping industry.
"So far, information we have according to the RV units that are sold and delivered out to the dealers, it's supposed to be a pretty good season," says KOA Campgrounds owner Patricia Schenk.
The petting zoo animals were brought in Friday and the mini golf course is open.
The Granger campground received the national KOA presidents and founders awards this year.
The awards recognize a campground's facilities and customer service.
