A Starke County teacher accused of having inappropriate internet contact with a student made an appearance in court on Wednesday.
27-year-old Robert "Ryan" Corbin was a first year physical education teacher at Knox High School.
He made his first court appearance in April when he was formally charged with two felony counts of attempted child seduction. Corbin enter a plea of not guilty.
Newscenter 16 obtained the probable cause affidavit that outlined a short yet intense 2-week cyber relationship between Corbin and a 16-year-old girl at the school. Police say Corbin interacted with the sophomore via dozens of Facebook messages.
Corbin's attorney filed a motion to dismiss the charges against his client.
Wednesday a Starke County judge took the defensive motion to toss the case under advisement and will have a decision within the next week.
