Judge rejects former treasurer's plea deal

A judge has rejected a plea deal for a former North Judson clerk/ treasurer, accused of stealing $74,000 from the city.

WKVI reports that Connie Miller 's lawyers tried to negotiate a sentence of three years per count, and each of those sentenced would be suspended to be served on probation.

The judge says he will not accept anything less than six years per count.

Another hearing is scheduled for June 7th.
