More than six years after Jodi Parrack, 11, was murdered, we finally know more about how she died.

Parrack was found in the Constantine Cemetery after she did not come home from a friend's house in November 2007.

Her death was ruled a homicide. However, it was not until Tuesday that a medical examiner listed the cause of death as asphyxiation resulting from strangulation, according the Sturgis Journal.

Raymond McCann, 46, a person of interest since the beginning, was arrested last month on charges of perjury.

The affidavit claimed McCann acted suspicious the night of Jodi's murder and lied to police about what he was doing during that time.
