South Bend, Ind. A man charged in connection with a deadly home invasion was in court Thursday.
Thursday was 22-year-old Jermon Gavin's first court appearance before his new judge. He faces felony murder and robbery charges for an incident stemming back to January of 2012 in South Bend.
Gavin was involved in a home invasion that left 19-year-olds Jazmin Conlee and Alejandro Tinoco dead. He wasn't the shooter, but was charged with murder. The murder charge was eventually dropped, after Gavin testified in three other murder trials.
He agreed to a plea arrangement back in October. But his judge back then rejected the agreement before excusing himself from the case.
Judge John Marnocha was assigned to his case. He will get the chance to weigh in on a plea agreement. That hearing will take place on December 17.
