Irish to sing alma mater after football games, win or lose

Notre Dame, Ind. The football team and student leaders have voted to sing the Alma Mater with students after home games this season, no matter if they win or lose.

Brian Kelly said he brought the matter up to the team after speaking with the team's Unity Council.

Student leaders met Monday on the matter and said they see the Alma Mater as an “instrument of unity”.

Kelly said the team had decided last year to only do the Alma Mater after victories, but that decision caused some controversy during the season.
