Irish men's hoops team looks to take down 2nd ranked Ohio St Saturday

10 days ago, many were ready to leave the Irish men's basketball team for dead as Notre Dame drops to 7-3 with a loss at home to North Dakota State.

Three days later, the Irish picked up a must win over Indiana in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis.

Saturday night, Notre Dame has the opportunity for a gigantic victory when it faces 2nd ranked Ohio State at Madison Square Garden in New York City in the Gotham Classic.

"That would be really huge for us," Irish coach Mike Brey says of what a win over Ohio State would mean. "Indiana kind of helped the bank account. If you get [Ohio State] it would kind of even the ledger. Certainly would give us confidence going into the ACC season."

Tipoff Saturday night is set for 7:30pm.
