The criminal case involving an Elkhart County teen who brought a handgun to class is now one step closer to court.
In Jan. 2013, Northridge High School expelled an 18-year-old senior after he allegedly displayed the weapon in the school’s cafeteria.
Detectives in Elkhart County have now concluded their investigation and turned the case over to the county prosecutor.
Officials say the teen has only been questioned and, at this point in time, no charges have been filed against him.
