MISHAWAKA An Indiana woman who is fighting for custody of her children in Cyprus says she won't give up despite threats of arrest and harassment.

Mishawaka native Marla Theocharides has been locked in an international fight for custody of 7-year-old Katerina and 4-year-old Marcus since 2011. A South Bend judge awarded her custody, but her ex-husband took the children to Cyprus and won't return them.

Theocharides tells The Indianapolis Star that a court in Cyprus issued an arrest warrant for her on Friday for failing to pay child support. She says she has no income and can't get a job because the country hasn't issued her a work permit.

The children are U.S. citizens but have been in Cyprus with their father since January 2011.
