A man charged in the death of a South Bend toddler was in court Monday morning.
A pre-trial conference was held for 23-year-old Xavier Primm, in connection with the death of two-year-old John Swoveland Jr. back in April.
He is charged with assisting a criminal.
Police say the shooting was gang-related, with the bullet coming from Coquillard Park, about three blocks away.
A total of eight people are charged in connection with the crime.
Primm's trial is currently set to begin on August 11th.
