On Tuesday, voters will head to the polls to vote on $28 million worth of improvements for the Mishawaka School District.

But absentee voting on the referendum ended Monday at noon.

Officials have debated over how much money should be spent on building improvements versus educational needs.

The plan up for vote calls for renovating nine of the district's schools, using an increase in property taxes.
