MISHAWAKA, Ind. - A Mishawaka food service company is moving to South Bend.

IRBN Foods is leaving for a bigger building in the 2100 block of West Western Avenue.

The company is seeking a city tax abatement to assist in the relocation.

The project will create five new full times jobs, and retain nine positions.

IRBN plans to make $250,000 worth of improvements to the building once occupied by ABS Supply.

IBRN provides finished food products to non-profits, primarily food banks and jails.

The tax abatement request comes up for consideration in front of the South Bend Common Council at Monday's meeting.
