I-Step vendor to defend company after problems

The president of the testing vendor paid to administer the I-Step to Hoosier students is scheduled to defend her company to lawmakers later this month.

Close to 80,000 students experienced problems last month as the state's online test froze for up to hours at a time.

The first meeting of the General Assembly's I-Step study committee will come as an independent contractor reviews the test. But the second hearing isn't planned until after the report is delivered to the state.
