A thief who beat up an elderly man inside his own home will spend up to 140 years in prison.

GOSHEN, Ind.--- A thief who beat up an elderly man inside his own home will spend up to 140 years in prison.

Jeffery Hunt, 25, pleaded guilty to multiple robbery charges, along with criminal confinement.

Last year, Hunt and his father, Jeffrey Hill, hit an 82-year-old man with a tire iron at his home in New Paris.

The man lived, but with severe injuries.

Hill was already sentenced to 120 years in prison.

Our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth say Hunt will be sentenced July 24th.
