The Humane Society of St. Joseph County is asking people to remember pets that are in need of a home this holiday season.

On Saturday, the organization celebrated the holidays with the animals of the shelter.

Santa also attended the open house and visited with families and kids.

The open house featured a boutique and bake sale to raise money for the shelter.

“We want everyone to remember the animals need a warm home for the holidays so we have dogs and a little bit of everything at the shelter needing a good home,” said Genny Carlson, outreach coordinator for the Humane Society.

The boutique featured everything from dog and cat stockings to dog bow ties.

Most of the items were donated by the friends of the Humane Society.
