Homeowners still responsible for property even during foreclosure

Just because a home is in foreclosure doesn't mean the homeowner is clear of any responsibility? It's a common mistake many people make when falling into foreclosure.

According to Indiana Law a homeowner is responsible for the property even if it’s under foreclosure until the deed is signed over to the bank.

“You are responsible up until your name is removed from the title, which can occur long after foreclosure,” says Pete Taddeo from Access Properties.

One of the most common and popular ways to sell homes in foreclosure is through the sheriff's sale.

There are maybe two or three of them a month. The next one is this Thursday.
