Mishawaka Rainy weather seems to have taken over Michiana these past few days, but can you think of a better day to get a jump on that spring cleaning? You have about 24 hours to get together things you may not want or need anymore and donate them to a great cause.

This weekend WNDU and Goodwill will come together to host the “Fill-A-Truck Donation Drive”. The donation drive will take place from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. this Saturday at the Goodwill on Grape Road in Mishawaka.

On top of that, there will be free vision screenings at the Community Career Center right next door. That is all thanks to the Lakeville and Mishawaka Lions Club.

Anything is accepted during this donation drive. We are looking for clothes, shoes, books, kitchen items and more. The store will be open during the drive so folks can donate, shop and change someone else’s life.

Getting money back in the Goodwill stores really does help the community.

“When we receive donations and they are sold in our stores, those funds provide the support we need to further Goodwill’s Mission to provide jobs, training and placement services for people with barriers to employment. Spring is here and its time to clear out the clutter. We want to encourage everyone to help us Fill-A-Truck,” says Debie Coble, President and CEO.

Those who donate will receive a Discount Shopping Coupon and Tax Receipt. Children will enjoy a free stuffed animal.
