Help Humane Society by "Roller Skating Fur Rover"

If you're looking for a great, inexpensive way to spend time with the family Tuesday night, we have a great idea for you, Roller Skating Fur Rover.

It’s an event hosted by the Humane Society of St. Joseph County and it’s a great way to have some fun while helping a great cause.

Folks can come out to USA Skate Center in Mishawaka from 6 to 8 Tuesday night. It costs $5 dollars per person and that includes skate rental. Half of that money will then go back to the Humane Society to benefit the animals.

Genny Carlson says the Humane Society relies on donations to run the no-kill adoption facility so they are always in need of help. If you can’t make it to the event, you can always help out the shelter by making other donations. Some of those can include money, blankets, towels, food, empty medicine bottles, toilet paper rolls or just your own time.

You can also take part in their Paw Pal Program. With this program you can sponsor an animal while it stays in the shelter. Once it is adopted you will be given another pet to sponsor.

Another option to donate is through their Giving Tree. You can pay $2 to have an ornament put on their tree. All of that money will go straight to the shelter to help all of the animals.
