UPDATE: Names released in fatal Elkhart Co. crash

A 47-year-old Ohio woman is dead after a crash in Elkhart County.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

31-year-old Sarah Fields of Elkhart was driving south on U.S. 33, just north of County Road 146 when she drove left of the center line.

Fields collided head on with 47-year-old Cynthia Gilleo of Celina, Ohio, who was driving north on U.S. 33. Gilleo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fields was airlifted to the hospital with injuries to her head and neck, as well as a fractured pelvis.

Two others were also injured in the crash. 41-year-old Andrew Clinger and 16-year-old Allison Clinger were driving with Gilleo. Andrew Clinger was airlifted for foot and leg pain. Allison Clinger was airlifted with a fractured femur and complaint of head and back pain.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department Crash Investigation Team is investigating.
