It was another hot day, but that didn’t keep folks from making the trip to downtown South Bend for “Fridays by the Fountain”.

For the seventh straight week, dozens of people sat in front of the Morris Performing Arts Center to enjoy some fun in the sun during the weekly outdoor concert event. Spectators spent the afternoon listening to music and eating some local cuisine.

Folks of all ages enjoyed the musical stylings of the “Unraveling String Band” at Hunt Plaza.

"I've been very amazed at the at the crowd,” said attendee Hazel Munnell I've only been to one other Friday event in the past couple of weeks and I've always been really surprised at the diversity of the crowd. I'm really surprised ya know the elderly, the senior citizens, people in the neighborhood I guess are using this as an opportunity to just get out and play."

“Fridays by the Fountain” ends on August 30.
