More than 850 Michiana residents gathered at UP Mall this weekend to show their support for Memorial Children's Hospital.
Monday night we learned just how much money they raised to help the countless children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
More than $74,000 was collected during Saturday’s Hearts of Gold Walk. Officials say they are still getting pledges online and receiving checks and cash in the mail, so that number could soon get even larger.
The funds will be used to expand medical services for kids in our region so they no longer have to travel hours away for care.
