A teen who ignited a cancer-fighting movement with her own battle has been honored with a beautiful sculpture.

A purple heart was dedicated at Sarah Crane's former Cleveland Elementary School in Elkhart. The Elkhart Truth reports students designed small hearts and the artist chose several of them to incorporate into the sculpture. Lyrics of Sarah's favorite song are also printed on the heart.

Crane inspired the Sarah Strong campaign. Even though she died in December 2013, the movement lives on.
