Police believe a head-on collision in Berrien County on Saturday may have been deliberate.

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - Police believe a head-on collision in Berrien County on Saturday may have been deliberate.

Witnesses say they saw a car make a u-turn in the westbound lanes of I-94, near Stevensville, and drove for about six miles in the wrong direction.

The driver, Todd Pirochta, 47,then swerved into the path of Melvin Hollandsworth, 65, hitting him head on.

According to our reporting partners at The Herald Palladium, Hollandsworth and his 43 -year-old daughter were not hurt.

Pirochta had to be cut out of his car, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say he is not cooperating with their ongoing investigation.

They plan to file a warrant for his arrest Tuesday.
