Mishawaka, Ind. Battling Alzheimer's isn't easy, but a new Mishawaka facility is hoping to help.
JEA Senior Living held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday at their newest assisted living community, Heritage Point.
It's located near the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Douglas Road. The new facility will house 66 patients, and employ 50 part and full-time workers. It's expected to be completed this spring.
Those with the company say they're hoping to be an asset to the community.
“Our mission is to serve clients through their needs and Alzheimer's disease process but our commitment is to Mishawaka and to be an active member in the community,” says Chris Neff with the JEA Senior Living.
The 3,100 square foot facility is JEA Senior Living's 40th care center across the country.
