Steve Smith visits his local Cira's Express Mini-Mart regularly. But he returned for a special trip to high-five the staff after he bought the most valuable ticket ever sold at the store. He was so excited he even forgot to sign it, until store staff reminded him.
Smith bought a $10 ticket for the Hoosier Lottery's 50-times the Money Scratch Off, which turned out to be worth $1 million.
The father of three decided to take the cash option, and claimed his prize of $553,000 after taxes.
He's been working seven days a week for years, and says he will continue that work ethic, despite his family's new wealth.
