Monday a grand jury will review a police-involved shooting, where an officer shot and killed a suspect. Goshen Police Officer Joshua Havens shot 47 year-old Melvin Bledsoe back on September 25.
Police say they were trying to pull Bledsoe over for numerous traffic violations. A chase started in New Paris and ended in Goshen when Bledsoe pulled into a parking lot along East Lincoln Avenue.
A confrontation ensued before Havens shot Bledsoe. He later died from his injuries. Prosecutors have requested a review of the circumstances. A Grand Jury will look over that info Monday to see if Havens' actions were justifiable.
