GRANGER, Ind. Michiana has a new memory care center.
North Woods Village at Edison Lakes is the first stand-alone facility for adults with memory issues.
Fifty-four residents will live in unique neighborhoods, with their own rooms and a common living room. With nurses on staff 24 hours, the idea is to create a familiar and safe environment for those suffering from memory loss.
“The amenities are life stations where they can participate and stay alert, exercise availability with yoga type exercises...activity director...all day everyday,” said Dane Slabaugh.
