A Goshen lawyer is considering a run for the U.S. House.
Attorney Andrew Straw has filed paperwork with the state election division to form an exploratory committee, according to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.
Straw says he wants to run for Congress because of concerns over the growing debt and the lack of domestic job growth.
Since Indiana will undergo a congressional redistricting process this year, Straw did not indicate which district he plans on running in.
Elkhart County is currently split with Democrat Joe Donnelly representing the northwest quadrant and Republican Marlin Stutzman representing the eastern and southern portions.
Both Donnelly and Stutzman will be up for re-election in 2012, though Donnelly has been mentioned as a possible party choice to run for U.S. Senate or governor.
