New date set for Goshen murder trial

A judge has granted requests to move the trial of a Goshen man charged with murder.

Joseph Wayer the third was arrested and charged in February of last year with the murder of Barbara Sheppard of Mishawaka.

Sheppard was found stabbed to death in December 2011 in an alley near the Low Bob's Discount Tobacco store on the corner of Lincolnway and Byrkit where she worked.

Today the judge set a new hearing date of April 22.

During that hearing, a new trial date will be set.
