A long-neglected building is one-step closer to becoming a home for artists and entrepreneurs.
Closing was completed today on the Hawks Building in Goshen.
The building was donated to La Casa by the Goshen Redevelopment Commission.
La Casa plans to build 35 units into the building where artists and entrepreneurs can live and work.
There is also a second phase of the project that will develop an additional 21,000 square feet within the building.
Construction will take about a year, and La Casa expects the first tenants to move in during the spring of next year.
