Goshen College students donated their time Wednesday for a good cause

Goshen College students donated their time Wednesday for a good cause. All 170 freshman split into eight teams and volunteered at various agencies across Elkhart County.

We caught-up with this group at Elkhart-based Soup of Success, a not-for-profit, dedicated to equipping woman for the workplace.

Students spent six hours in the kitchen, assembling and packaging homemade soups, dips and cookies, which will now be sold at local retail stores to help fund the agency.

"I get a lot of joy from giving because it's just something that I love to do,” says Maria Bischoff a Goshen College Freshman. “I feel that helping people is the best thing that you can do because some day you may need help and you're knowing that I gave help to someone else."

"So when we get groups like this, we can get more product made, which means we can sell more, which means we can help more woman in the community," says Amy Brock the Production Manager, Soup of Success.
