The Golden Dome and Touchdown Jesus will be in the dark this weekend as part of Earth Hour.

This will be the fifth year that cities around the world will turn off lights for an hour.

Last year, the famous Las Vegas Strip went dark and Seattle's Space Needle turned off its lights.

The environmental organization World Wildlife Fund organizes the event each year.

Saturday night at 8:30 p.m., they are encouraging everyone to turn off their lights.

Notre Dame is turning off some of their lights for 60 hours, instead of 60 minutes.

They say that will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 600 lbs.
