SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Salvation Army Kroc Center in South Bend is hosting a free Girls Night Out event for teenage girls this week.
The seminar focuses on personal safety and self-confidence.
Older women will be on hand to address topics that may be tough for parents to talk to their kids about.
A self-defense expert will also talk to the girls about how to stay safe on prom night.
The event is Monday or Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
It is open to all prom-age girls.
You can sign up on the Kroc Center's website.
