South Bend, Ind. The idea of repealing South Bend's game day lawn parking ordinance has been placed on the back burner. It was originally hoped that the change would take place before the first game, last Saturday.
But the measure was tabled at an August Council Meeting, and the author Tuesday announced he'll remove it from consideration until the spring of 2014.
That means residents who want to park cars on their lawn during Notre Dame's 2013 home football games, will continue to have to buy parking permits from the city, permits that cost as much as $50 per game.
