Funeral arrangements set for soldier killed in crash

WINAMAC Funeral arrangements have been set for a soldier who died in a car crash overseas.

Ryan Grandstaff, 24, died last Wednesday in Germany. He was born in South Bend and graduated from Winamac Community High School in 2009. Ryan worked at the Braun Corporation and Plymouth Tube before he joined the U.S. Army in 2012. He was the crew chief on a Blackhawk Medivac Helicopter.

McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery

The family requests that any donations in his memory go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
