SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- As the investigation into who killed a 2-year-old South Bend boy continues so does the community's support.

John Swoveland Jr. died from a gunshot wound to the chest last week.

Police say the toddler was playing outside on Campeau St. when he was likely hit by a stray bullet.

Witnesses told police two rival groups were engaged in a gun battle.

Metro homicide hasn't made any arrests in the case. Now a local restaurant is stepping forward to help the toddler's family.

Ichiban Chinese restaurant on SR 23 in South Bend is holding a fundraiser through the end of the month.

They'll donate 10 percent of their sales to Baby John's family.
