Fund to restore lighthouses raises $400,000 in 2 months

St. Joseph, Mich. A campaign to restore and preserve lighthouses in St. Joseph has raised $400,000. Their goal is $2 million.

According to our reporting partners at WSJM, some of the most recent donations have come from Vail Rubber Company and the Frederick S. Upton Foundation.

The money is expected to restore the lights to the point that the public will be able to go inside and tour them.
