Free science summer camp

South Bend, Ind. When people think of summer camp a lot of times they think of sports, but the South Bend Community School Corporation and the 21st Century Community Learning Center has partnered for the third year in a row to give kids something different.

We are talking NASA Ignite. It’s a free, 4-day summer camp that caters to South Bend students but it is open to anyone. Kids 3rd through 12th grade can go. This camp really focuses on Science and Robotics.

The camp starts bright and early at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. During that time kids get breakfast and lunch.

The camp started Monday, but there are 9 different sessions. Each of the 9 camps is held at different locations in the South Bend Community.

Navarre Intermediate Center June 16th- June 19th
Dickinson Fine Arts Academy June 23rd- June 26th
Charles Black Center June 30th – July 3rd
LaSalle Intermediate Center July 7th- July 11th
Madison Primary Center July 14th- July 18th
Jefferson Intermediate Center July 21st- July 25th
Washington High School July 28th- August 1st
Riley High School July 28th- August 1st
