It was all about keeping four-legged friends healthy Sunday at locations throughout St. Joseph County.
Pet owners lined-up to make sure their fury companions got free rabies vaccinations.
The Humane Society of Saint Joseph County puts on the event once a year to ensure that even those facing tough financial times, can obtain proper care for their pets.
With the help of vets volunteering, plenty of cats and dogs received the vaccine.
“People sometimes take this for granted and don’t realize how important this is,” said Kim Sult of the humane society of St. Joseph county. You never know when something is going to happen to your cat or dog if they get out. A lot of bite cases involve children.”
