From apple decorating to all things local at a bridal expo, there is no shortage of things to do in Michiana over the weekend. Families can find multiple activities, without breaking the bank.
-Martin's Super Markets is hosting a "Caramel Apple Gala" on Saturday at all locations from 11a.m.-5 p.m. Apples are $2.
-Martin's Super Market in Heritage Square is hosting a "Bridal Expo" on Saturday from 10a.m.-4p.m. The expo is free and open to the public and will feature, music, venues, photography, catering options, wedding cakes and more.
-In downtown Dowagiac, families can visit "Under the Harvest Moon" free of charge on Saturday from 10a.m.-4p.m.. The festival features over 40 artisan vendors, a scarecrow contest, antique tractors, and kid-friendly fun.
-On both Saturday and Sunday, families can enjoy a plethora of doughnuts and mingle with local law enforcement at "Cops on top of a Doughnut Shop." It is going on at the Krispy Kreme on Main Street in Mishawaka from 8a.m.-7p.m. on Saturday and 8a.m.-5p.m. on Sunday. Funds from the event go to benefit the Family Justice Center.
-For the 4th time, Pillars of Elkhart and Big Brothers Big Sisters are partnering to host "Oktoberfest" in downtown Elkhart. The family-friendly event runs from 1-6p.m. in Central Park, and will feature a cornhole tournament, chili cookoff and activities for the kids.
