Former nurse sentenced for bank robbery

SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- A former South Bend nurse turned bank robber was sentenced today.

Dennis Love, 59, pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery, and one count of showing a firearm during a robbery.

On Monday, Love was sentenced to 114 months in prison, followed by four years of probation.

He was also ordered to pay $18,000 in restitution.

The South Bend man took responsibility for four separate robberies, including one last September at Honor Credit Union in Berrien Springs.

He was arrested last December after a failed robbery in Martin, Michigan.
