GOSHEN A woman is suing her former employer, claiming they asked her to cover up illegal activity, then fired her when she refused.

The Elkhart Truth reports that Taimi Fernandez-Guillot took a job at Crane Composites in Goshen in December. She moved her family from Florida to Michiana for the job. The company makes fiberglass sidewall finishes for RV’s.

In February, she fired a worker for giving her a fake ID. He was reportedly an illegal immigrant. She then launched an audit and claims she found proof that the company employed several illegal workers.

Fernandez-Guillot says her bosses urged her to cover it up and then fired her after she shared her information with the company's headquarters in Illinois.

Fernandez-Guillot is now suing the company, looking for $2 million in total damages.
