SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Former Super Bowl champion lineman and South Bend resident Chris Godfrey will host a free football clinic for area kids in grades 3 through 9 at SB St. Joseph High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 25. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
Funds to pay for the event come from a grant from the NFL Foundation.
Each participant will receive instruction in football fundamentals, sportsmanship and be measured and timed as if they were in a combine. The results of which will be given to them at the end of the clinic. A free lunch is also provided. Water will be readily available.
Ben Downey, head Varsity Coach of St. Joe and other area high school coaches will be assisting Chris with instruction.
