Five teenagers are recovering after a single car accident in Cass County's Silver Township early Sunday morning.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Downey St., just west of Red Mill Rd.
The 17-year-old driver told police that he was headed west on Downey when he got distracted, ran off the road and hit a tree.
The driver and his four passengers were all taken to the hospital to be treated.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash and that all the teens were wearing seatbelts.
