First measurable snow of the season in Michiana

Snow returned to Michiana, albeit in a modest amount.

There were actually a couple of slide off accidents, and some salt trucks working a portion of the Indiana Toll Road Monday.

“Coming from Chicago over to Ohio and just started snowing probably within the last ten minutes of my travels so just kind of a little spotty,” said Troy Rusch who was passing through the area. “I haven't seen this since last year, so it's the first time this year.”

“We came from Chicago about 20 miles west of here we started seeing sleet ice, and I’m on tour with a musical group and we're from the south so I’ve done this before but it's tricky and I got to be careful,” explains Walter Parks a person traveling through the area.

Most of the Toll Road was just wet, so the conditions we found in Eastern LaPorte County seemed to be the exception, but not the rule.
