Folks can experience the sights, sounds and tastes this July 4th in downtown South Bend. It’s the First Friday of the month, and the day’s theme is “As American as…”

There’s so much to do from taking a free Transpo Trolley ride to enjoying backyard games at the Gridiron. But also, be sure to check out the specials from participants in the Summer Restaurant Week.

The restaurant, Le Peep, is showing their patriotism by serving up delicious pancakes!

But, what can be more American than baseball and fireworks?

Check out South Bend’s Minor League baseball team, the Silver Hawks, as they take on the Lake City Captains. The game starts at 7:35 p.m., July 4th at Four Winds Field, with a fireworks display following the game.
