Grab a blanket and a chair and start your weekend early by heading to Niles for the first Craft Brew and Wine Festival, Friday. The festival starts at 3 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. at the Riverfront Park in Niles.
The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce decided to host this event after surveying members of the community about a year ago. They found out that people want more things at the Riverfront. This is going to be the first time anyone has ever served beer or wine at that location. They actually had to amend the ordinance so they could host this event.
“It's a chance to highlight the community. It's such a beautiful riverfront down there and just to get more people down there to see how great it is, we're really excited about that,” explains Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tyanna Weller. “You should bring a chair to sit comfortably, it's a grassy area so we want to make sure everyone is comfy with a nice place to sit and enjoy the music.”
Tickets cost $25 at the door. You can get tickets early at the Martin’s in Niles for $15. With that you will get a glass, 10 tasting tickets and a shirt.
