Firefighters Blues Festival celebrating 15 years

Firefighters strive to make sure families, especially kids, know not only how to prevent fires but what to do if there is a fire.

Next weekend, a special event will raise funds to keep that going. The 15th annual Firefighters Blues Festival will take place Saturday, July 27, starting at noon at the Crumstown Conservation Club in North Liberty.

The line up includes the Elwood Splinters Blues Band, Jimmy Burns, Andrew 'Jr. Boy' Jones, and Jimmy Johnson.

The money raised helps out the Hoosier Burn Camp and the Survive Alive House. It is a family-friendly event.
