A Berrien County home up for sale was destroyed by fire early this morning.
Benton Township fire crews were called out to the 200 block of East Napier just after 5 a.m. That's in Fair Plain.
The blaze took them over two hours to put out. Crews cleared the scene around 8:15 a.m., but the house was a total loss.
Because the house was up for sale, there was no one inside when the fire broke out.
The situation was complicated by another alarm at a grocery store down the street.
Benton Harbor firefighters were called in to investigate that, but it turned out to be nothing.
The Benton Township police department is investigating what could've caused the house fire.
