Final suspect in toddler shooting has turned himself in

The final suspect wanted in the shooting of a South Bend toddler, has turned himself in.

Xavier Primm, 23, surrendered to police in Decatur, Illinois.

He is charged with assisting a criminal in the shooting death of two-year-old John Swoveland Junior.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide investigators were sent to Illinois to interview Primm.
The little boy was killed by a stray bullet while playing in the front yard of his aunt's home.

An anonymous tip led police to arrest 19-year-old Robert Griffin, 19, on Friday at Mishawaka's Hickory Village apartments.

Griffin is charged with murder.
